These are some of the pots that came out of last weekend's woodfiring at EMU, our first "solo" firing. We
tried several experiments and learned a lot. My pots are first, Patrick Green and Jonathan Smigel's next. (I
get top billing because it's MY website, so there.) Click on any image for a closer look. These are quickly
shot, email sized pix... I think a few of these deserve a professional backdrop, glare-free lighting and a
decent photo, but this is that best I could do on short notice!
This little ewer was fired on its side with another little ewer perched
on top of it. See the footprints? Still a chunk of wadding waiting to
be ground off... Groovy drip, eh?
Below is a juicy little
ewer. Temmoku on the
top section took an ash
blast and ran down the
side. Dipstick-style
stopper.
Patrick calls the one on the right "the
mouse".
