Pottery for Scout Troops:
Begin or complete Boy Scout or Girl Scout badges for
individuals or groups -- or just schedule a fun activity!

About the instructor: Kelly Savino
is a girl scout leader, the wife of a
boy scout leader, and mom to a
Star and an Eagle scout. She has
an MFA in Ceramics and teaches
at Owens College, Toledo Potters
Guild and Hands On Studio.
Badgework sessions for Girl and Boy scout troops require two visits to
complete all requirements for pottery,  Finished work can be picked up
afterward.  Hands On Studio can accomodate up to 15 scouts with an
adult leader or helper, and sessions can be scheduled after school. most
evenings, or on weekends -- whatever works for your troop! These
sessions will cover all requirements for the badge, and maybe a few for
other art badges as well. Participants will get a list of requirements
completed.

Fee: $12 per scout supply fee, plus a $30 per group donation to the
Toledo Botanical Garden

Clay Adventure sessions can be done in one visit. Scouts can make a
clay project to keep, and see demonstrations of the potter's wheel, visit
the kilns at the Toledo Potters Guild, tour Laurie Spencer's giant coil pot,
or choose from a variety of activities customized to suit the age of the
group and time available.

Fee: $8 per scout supply fee and $20 per group donation to Toledo
Botanical Garden.
